29 Mar - Hungry Jacks, Morley

Today, CB and I went out for lunch and ended up at Hungry Jacks in Morley. Here I went for a regular Ultimate Double Whopper Meal, and shared some onion rings with CB. It was a good idea at the time, but afterwards, there was a slight sickly feeling, but it was not as bad as KFC...

28 Mar - Red Rooster, Morley

With a BBQ in the early afternoon, CB and I shared some Red Rooster chips in the morning to fill the void. They weren't the tastiest chips, but weren't too bad either.

27 Mar - Nandos, Spearwood

Being a friday, I chose the vegie burger with extra hot sauce from Nandos. What a bad choice. It took over half an hour to get it and when I finally got it, the burger was ho hum and the chips were floppy and soggy.

20 Mar - Beechboro Fish Supply, Altone Park

Whoa, what a grease bomb! CB picked up fish and chips on the way back and went for a fisherman's basket each, which consisted of chips, 2 fish fillets, 2 crab sticks, squid rings, scallops and prawns. For desert, a pineapple fritter. I started eating and then realised I hadn't taken a pic, so here's an in progress shot.

20 Mar - Mikazuki Sushi & Maya Masala, Cockburn Gateway

I was so hungry for lunch yesterday, that I didn't take any pictures! Doh!

I had to go for a vegie/fish option due to Lent today, so after ordering Japanese, I had a vegie samosa from Maya Masala. It was decently hot, full of potato and quite salty. It was a good entree, but would've been better if it had meat!

At Mikazuki, I went for the Teriyaki Salmon. I wasn't expecting a lot of fish but there was two nicely sized fillets. It wasn't the freshest piece of fish, and it was cooked all the way through, and slathered with teriyaki sauce. It hit the spot though. I'm not sure if I prefer the battered and deep fried teriyaki fish, or this.

14 Mar - Retro Betty's, Leederville

Apologies for the crap out of focus burger shot .. I blame my camera phone.

I read an article last week about "the best burger in Perth", with Retro Betty's getting a mention. As CB and I were in Osborne Park and nearby, we decided to give it a shot.

I went for the Bistro Burger, as mentioned in the article. I guess I had high expectations after reading the article. Whilst it was good, I wouldn't of said it was the "best in Perth"... The hickory smoke flavoured sauce definitely saved it, without it, it would've been ho-hum, like the chips.

The shake was pretty good, although with "double icecream", I would've thought it'd be thicker. But the Milo Double Malt was good. CB's honeycomb was tastier but too sweet to have alot of.

13 Mar - Mikazuki Sushi, Cockburn Gateway

I opted for Teriyaki Fish today as Fridays during Lent are a non meat affair for me. I must say, that Teriyaki Fish is quite good. Battered fish, covered in teriyaki sauce... mmmm.. I will definitely have this again, even after Easter...

8 Mar - Jaws

A couple of weeks ago, I exchanged a whole load of Ent Book vouchers for ones that we typically frequent. Part of the trade included 3 Jaws vouchers. Today, a group of us went to Jaws and chowed down.

I wasn't particularly hungry, but managed nearly $30 worth of plates and tea. In the end, I downed 3 plates of karaage.

7 Mar - Nandos, Malaga

CB and I were in the area after hiring a Hilux and picking up house stuff. After having Chicken Steaks the last few times at Nandos, I opted for the half chicken meal. Whilst not as hot as normal, I was that hungry that it was gone within minutes...
