24 Aug - Canning Vale Markets

There was a food van which were selling Asian foods. They had an offer of 3 things for $5. CB and I had a puff each and shared the spring roll. Both were tasty enough.

23 Aug - The Brook, South Geraldton

CB and I shared a tasting plate to start which was quite tasty. The chorizo was flavorful and not too salty, the squid, pate, and feta were all good. Only gripe were the olives as half were pitted and the other half weren't. I started with unpitted and bit into an unpitted such came as a surprise.

The "jumbo" veal schnitzel wasn't very jumbo, but was tasty with the tomato relish and mustard.

22 Aug - Old Chang Kee, Karawara

Caught up for a drink with some old colleagues and picked up some OCK for some puffy goodness for breakfast the next day. Unfortunately they have run out of sardine puffs till near the end of the year but they have added a new line of chicken puffs with egg.

At $3 each they are a bit expensive but so much better than the Asian shop variety. These are actually savoury instead of sweet.

Noodles

As convenient as the dried rice noodles are, the fresh noodles are better although too much handling tends to make fried rice.

11 Aug - HJs and Nandos, Malaga

CB redeemed her free birthday meal, I used a HJ's voucher and bought some peri chips to go with.

9 Aug - Blu Grill, Woodlands

I knew I was going to have the ribs when I saw the menu but in reality they were overdone and dry. The pork and scallop entree was nice, although the sweet scallop was overpowered by the pork belly.

6 Aug - San Churro, Vic Park

Churros for two... tasted even better cos it was free. We only paid for drinks where I had the classic Spanish.

6 Aug - Nandos, Vic Park

CB's birthday was at Nandos as she gets a free meal as part of their loyalty program. I also received a free upgrade voucher, which I redeemed on this half chicken meal.

I'm sure Nandos use quail now given the size of the chicken but it was tasty nonetheless.
