23 Aug - The Brook, South Geraldton
CB and I shared a tasting plate to start which was quite tasty. The chorizo was flavorful and not too salty, the squid, pate, and feta were all good. Only gripe were the olives as half were pitted and the other half weren't. I started with unpitted and bit into an unpitted such came as a surprise.
The "jumbo" veal schnitzel wasn't very jumbo, but was tasty with the tomato relish and mustard.
22 Aug - Old Chang Kee, Karawara
Caught up for a drink with some old colleagues and picked up some OCK for some puffy goodness for breakfast the next day. Unfortunately they have run out of sardine puffs till near the end of the year but they have added a new line of chicken puffs with egg.
At $3 each they are a bit expensive but so much better than the Asian shop variety. These are actually savoury instead of sweet.
