31 Mar - Passatempo, Adelaide

I opted for the vegetarian pizza. This was quite good. Would've been better fresh but eaten cold, the crust had decent flavour and bite.

31 Mar - Zuma Cafe, Adelaide

I wanted something a little lighter so went for the chicken caesar salad. Not a lot of lettuce though, this was mostly bread, bacon and chicken.

30 Mar - Pappa Rich, Adelaide

I had the special nasi lemak which included prawns, peanuts, ikan bilis and chicken curry. The dish was nice but lacking in vegetables. There were no options on the menu for any on the side. The fried chicken was required to get over the $20 eftpos minimum.

30 Mar - Sushi Train, Adelaide

29 Mar - La Boca, Adelaide

I went for the tasting menu which consisted of an assortment of goodies including meat from the asador.

The meat was tender, a little cold but most surprisingly, it wasn't smokey at all. I expected after 6 hours slow roasting that it'd be slightly smokey. The crackling on the pork wasn't that great either. Hong Kong suckling pig was better in that regard.

29 Mar - BBQ City, Adelaide

A seafood stir fried rice noodle dish. The noodles had wok hei and were nice and separate (not clumped together like mine) and the seafood was cooked nicely. No egg sauce though and there wasn't an option for it...

12 Mar - Oporto, Balcatta

A quick lunch on the run. I had a single Bondi burger, which was a little small but packed some chilli punch. It was a little on the soggy side but went down very easily.

11 Mar - Elmars in the Valley, Henley Brook

Elmar's seafood options didn't interest me so I went for the vegetarian option. The veg quiche was OK but nothing to rave about.

11 Mar - Qantas flight to Perth

Fish green curry. It was majority rice, some plain broccoli and a large single fillet of fish in a smidgen of curry gravy. It could've been better had there been more sauce, with the broccoli mixed in and the fish in smaller pieces.

11 Mar - The Public Cafe, Adelaide

A mushroom and truffle oil omelette which was light on the truffle (preferred that way anyway).

10 Mar - Moonlight Indian Restaurant, New Haven

A local Indian restaurant near work. We all went for the banquet which came with some starters and curries with rice and naan.

The meal felt quite salty but after adding the accompanying chutney and yoghurt levelled things out.

10 Mar - Gaucho's, Adelaide

Mmmm. 500g of dry aged beef. Cooked to rare. The house chimmi churri really had some zing and I found out they sell it in local supermarkets.

10 Mar - Fair Espresso, Adelaide

Breakfast this morning was at the coffee shop next to the hotel. I had a latte with poached eggs and bacon with sourdough. It was OK, the eggs were slightly runny but were too small in relation to the bread.

9 Mar - Birkenhead Tavern, Port Adelaide

I went for the chicken scallopine which didn't disappoint. A cream sauce with mushroom, onion, tomato over chicken tenders and mash.

9 Mar - KFC, Elizabeth

It wasn't my first choice but it was convenient whilst running around today. I had the five star box which comprised of an assortment of pieces. Like KFC tapas.

9 Mar - Krispy Kreme, Adelaide

A sugary start today. A custard filled chocolate donut and original glazed. The coffee was quite good and strong.

9 Mar - Largs Pier, Largs Bay

Dinner comprised of a chicken caesar salad and a serve of wedges. Not learning from yesterday, I didn't need the extra side, and whilst I finished it, it definitely was a struggle.

The poached egg on my salad was solid and not a hint of runnyness.

8 Mar - Sushi Train, Adelaide

A light lunch, washed down with a mango ice tea.

7 Mar - Drumsticks Takeaway, North Haven

A burger with the lot and a large chips. Yeah I didn't finish the chips. While I probably could've forced all the chips down, I wouldn't have done any work afterwards.

7 Mar - Qantas flight to Adelaide

The flight had a choice of continental or hot breakfast, I went for the hot option.

Along with an egg and rasher of bacon, some baked beans and two hot cakes were included. The hotcakes were like fluffy savoury pancakes with corn in them. They weren't bad.
