28 Jan - Breadwinner Bakehouse, Mundaring

Another roadtrip today, this time up to Mundaring. At this bakery, I tried the 'Ned Kelly' pie which was a beef, cheese, bacon and egg pie.

The filling was decently chunky, the pastry was good and taste wise, it was decent. The fillings were a bit uneven so the flavours weren't throughout the pie.

24 Jan - McDonald's, Midland

An Oreo waffle cone with soft serve and two Oreo biscuits. At $2, it sits between the 50c regular cone and the more expensive sundaes. It did the job.

24 Jan - Alfred's Kitchen, Guildford

Friday dinner was at Alfred's down in Guildford. I opted for the double hamburger. It was a little hard to eat but went down well as I was starving. Next time I'd definitely go a single with bacon or similar instead of another patty.

27 Jan - Toodyay Bakery, Toodyay

A stop in Toodyay today for lunch. I opted for a pepper pie. The pastry wasn't flaky like yesterday's at Dwellingup but the filling was as chunky but peppery. A decent pie although a little pricey compared to a supermarket Four and Twenty.

26 Jan - Cott Fish and Chips, Cottesloe

CB and I drove to Cottesloe yesterday for dinner where we had fish and chips for dinner. We opted for the seafood basket and an extra small chips. The basket consisted of fish, chips, two crab sticks, two prawns and two scallops.

The meal ended up being just under $30 and was quite good. The prawns and scallops were nice and sweet. Just the right amount of food without feeling dirty.

26 Jan - Blue Wren Cafe, Dwellingup

A driving day trip down south with lunch in Dwellingup.

As it was Australia Day, I opted for the pie and salad. The pastry was nice and flaky, the pie had some decent chunky meat pieces. The gravy was typical meat pie flavour.
