Cafe Bacon

A new Asian grocer has popped up nearby so went to have a look this morning.

They had cafe bacon for $3.99 a kilo. Not sure what cafe bacon is, but I assume it's all the small offcuts based on what I received.

For a bacon and egg sarnie or fried rice, this stuff should be good. Where rashers are required, not so good. It was a little fatty but in a sandwich with egg and tomato sauce... yum yum.

Add an iced coffee and it was a pretty loaded brunch.

11 Jul - Fast Eddys, Morley

A cop the lot from Fast Eddys. Not the same as I remember, the bun was a bit different and the chips were a bit sparse. But tasty nonetheless.

28 Jun - Monte Fiore, Mount Lawley

I was sick so couldn't taste much, so I opted for cheap eats. Having said that though, my food wasn't quite right... The wedges were just slightly undercooked and firm in spots and the chicken in my caesar salad was very dead.

13 Jun - Nandos, Malaga

A "Twos a party platter" which currently is on promotion for $20. The extra hot sauce was a bit lacking, I have found it really varies on the person cooking.

24 May - Narada, Belmont

Gary picked this place to celebrate his 40th birthday, an interesting place with both Western and Indian items on the menu.

I decided on Indian after seeing the wait staff. CB and I shared the samosas and starter platter which was fairly good, my main though wasn't as tasty, probably because the size of the chicken maryland and the marinade only on the surface. After I stole some of CB's curry sauce, it was a lot tastier.

16 May - Ikea

A cheap dinner at Ikea before picking up a few things. The fish and chips are good value, the meatballs aren't much to rave about.
