Bacon hocks are great for both flavour and meat, provided you give it a lot of time. Unfortunately, I started making soup at nearly 6pm and by 7pm, I was so starving, I had to strip the meat off the bone and have a bowl.
In this soup contains onion, garlic, potato, carrot and chinese cabbage. Water, a little chicken stock powder and the bacon hock are the other ingredients. Unfortunately, the meat wasn't falling off the bone and the meat in my bowl of soup was a little tough. I've got the rest still on the stove with the bone still in to extract more flavour.
Note to self: Bacon hock porridge would be so awesome!

You must have a bit of Chinese cabbage in the fridge. Where's the beans and lentils??? hehe!
