13 Feb - Largs Pier, Largs Bay

Another dinner at the local tavern, this time I went for the seafood plate. Squid, fish, oysters kilpatrick and prawns were served with chips and a salad. Not bad, but nothing to rave about.

13 Feb - Gauchos, Adelaide

Gauchos is good .. really really good. I suggested to some colleagues to go and we all opted for the 800g rib eye special. All of us managed to finish it, although half of the sides remained. The steak was cooked to perfection and the service was attentive. Working out to be $90 a head including soft drinks, it was expensive, but it was well worth it (and work's paying anyway).

12 Feb - Largs Pier, Largs Bay

I decided I needed some greens in my diet so decided on a salad. This caesar salad certainly felt lighter than previous meals, although not that healthy, given the bacon, dressing and cheese. But it was damn tasty.

12 Feb - Sushi Train, Adelaide

Only a short stroll from the hotel is this sushi franchise (although not in Perth), Sushi Train. The karaage was quite good, and selection during lunch was quite vast. My selection came to about $30, including a drink.

11 Feb - Valentinos Pizza Cafe, Port Adelaide

A blurry shot of a mostly eaten, cold pizza. On the way to work, stopped by a pizzeria and ordered one with the lot, with anchovies and jalapenos. (obviously not the lot then!). The pizza wasn't bad, although the saltiness from all the cured meats, olives and anchovies were getting to me by the end.

11 Feb - United Latino Cocina, Adelaide

Owned by the same people as Lucky Lupitas out at Bedford Park, this place was a little more trendy and conveniently located in the CBD.

The fish taco was really good. Flakey fish with a jalapeno salsa with pineapple and coriander. Haven't had a taco like this before but it was really good, should've just had 4 of these!

I also had the Ropa vieja (slow cooked, shredded flank steak with capsicum, onion, garlic and cumin served with black beans and rice). The meat was falling apart, and moist on its own, but the whole dish was a little dry for me.

To wash it all down, I had a tamarind Jarritos, which I thought would've had some of its tartness, but ended up being completely sweet.

10 Feb - Drumsticks Takeaway, North Haven

Last nights dinner was a quick run to the local shopping centre near work to grab a bite to eat. The choices were Subway or this local grease pit. I ordered a burger with the lot and a medium chips. The chips were enormous (I ended up eating about a quarter as a snack at 10pm)! The burger was decent with bacon, egg, beef and the usual salad, although there was a lot of salad. I didn't take a picture as I left my phone in the office.
