CB had her birthday dinner at Chesters this year, out in the Swan Valley. To start off, I had an Iced Coffee. It was pretty good, CB ate the coffee beans and I downed the coffee pretty quickly. For entree, I went for the ribs, which were covered in a sticky barbecue sauce and served with sour cream. They weren't the most tender ribs but they were tasty, with the sour cream being a nice addition.
For main, I had the Pork Roulade, which was pork stuffed with ham, sage and parmesan, served with potato puree and a seeded mustard sauce. Mine was a bit overdone and tough, I had some of Mum's and it was a little pinker and more tender.
For desert, I had an affogatto. The icecream made it sweet and it went down well.
Overall I was impressed with Chesters. The service was good, the food was good, and they were observant enough to see it was CB's birthday and brought out her dessert with a candle and sung Happy Birthday for her.
