28 Dec - Northshore Tavern, Whitfords

The bacon bohemeth consisted of "seasoned beef, caramelised onion, crispy deep-fried bacon, american cheese, egg, more bacon, california island dressing golden fries".

Overall the burger was tasty with all the bacon.

20 Dec - Brotzeit, Baldivis

A work Christmas lunch where i shared a "beast platter" with a colleague. The potato gems were mostly eaten but the chips were left behind. The bread on the open sandwiches were also left behind. The ribs were the nicest item out of the whole platter.

9 Dec - McDonalds, Melville

A small chicken McFeast meal with 24 nuggets. The chicken McFeast was a regular McFeast with the regular McChicken patty, and wasn't that great. The nuggets were shared with CB and were piping hot and fresh.

1 Dec - Two40three Restaurant, Morley

A seafood platter for wagg's birthday celebration. The raw oysters were given to my brother and i ate the rest. It was edible but nothing special, my favourite was the fish which was a bit salty but crispy skinned.

27 Oct - San Churros, Joondalup

Full from the food I just had prior, I thought I'd finish off with a "Hot and Cold", a Spanish Hot Chocolate with icecream. Whilst good, it was thick and rich and I was quite uncomfortable by the end.

27 Oct - Hog's Breath, Joondalup

A last minute choice/fit in as my booking with Delboys Diner didn't work out as they went bust and didn't notify anyone.

I had the potato skins to start and had a burger and curly fries after. It was ok, nothing to rave about.

14 Oct - Picante Street Kitchen, Busselton Farmers Market

CB wanted to stop by Busselton jetty and the farmers market was set up nearby. We had breakfast at this food truck which served quesadillas. I went for the breakfast quesadilla which had bacon and eggs, CB had the veggie option.

While the breakfast one that i had was tasty enough, i think the veg one was better with sweet potato and chick peas.

13 Oct - Simmos Icecream, Dunsborough

A roasted macadamia icecream cone. The icecream was tasty with a caramel swirl rubbing through the icecream with macadamia bits throughout. The gardens were nice with green lawns and childrens play equipment, along with mini golf to the side.

13 Oct - Dunsborough Bakery, Dunsborough

A chicken and veg pie. This had a puff pastry lid and was even hotter liquid lava than breakfast. It had a decent amount of veg in it but was too hot to eat immediately.

13 Oct - Deckchair Cafe, Augusta

A morning 100 odd km drive down twisty Caves Road ended up with breakfast in Augusta. I had the bacon and egg wrap which also had spinach and hollandaise. It was molten lava when it first came out but hit the spot, along with the coffee made from Yahava beans.

12 Oct - Groper's Fish and Chips, Busselton

A lazy dinner near accommodation. CB and i had the seafood basket for two. Everything was cooked well, although some of the chips had a weird texture to them and there wasn't enough chicken salt. But the portion was large enough that CB didn't finish her fish and there were some leftover chips.

12 Oct - Best In The West Bakery, Bunbury

A steak and mushroom pie, sausage roll and custard cream eclair. The pie was my favourite out of them all.

6 Oct - The Hen, Henley Brook

A starter of fish tacos and a chicken Caesar salad. The tacos were a little dry and bland, with the majority of flavour coming from the coriander.

I was forewarned about the Caesar dressing lacking punch and eating the leaves alone, I agree. Eating everything together was tasty enough though.

26 Aug - Our Table, Bedford

The eggs and smoked salmon seemed interesting but after wanting mushrooms, I was already at full breakfast prices, so opted for that instead.

Everything was tasty although pork belly for breakfast is just plain weird. The crackling was slightly soft too.

25 Aug - The Brook, Ellenbrook

A beef cheek special. It was falling apart and went well with the accompaniments. I could've done with more beef cheek though.

31 Jul - Pappa Rich, Joondalup

A deep fried egg noodle dish in egg sauce, followed with an sago pudding.

28 Jul - Tavolo, Belmont

CBs birthday dinner. I went for the garlic and rosemary starter with a mushroom pizza and deep fried custard dessert.

20 Jul - Leapfrogs Cafe, Wanneroo

A morning of mini golf and lunch at the attached eatery. I went for the burger and chips. The burger itself was decent but the chips were a little soft and limp.

14 Jul - Itoshi Japanese, Morley

13 Jul - Dawat Indian Restaurant, Bennett Springs

CB and I shared a Hot Chicken Madras and a paneer vegetable dish with some rice and naan. The Madras built up heat as you went and after a few mouthfuls my mouth was decently on fire.

6 Jul - Cucina Italia, Morley

CB and I were going to share a whitebait entree and crumbed sardine entree but they ran out of sardines. I ended up choosing the bruschetta instead. The whitebait were large and the aioli wasn't very garlicky. The bruschetta was ok but it didn't have enough filling.

I was also interested the veal scallopine but they didn't have it either. I ended up with the steak with mushroom sauce. The steak was tasty and tender.

30 Jun - Han Palace, East Perth

A banquet at Han Palace. Opted for the deluxe banquet which also included some duck pancakes. The meal was ok but one downside was the lack of rice. Usually, banquets come with a large pot of rice, however this place served per bowl. The staff weren't attentive or fast enough to see the lack of rice at the table.

29 Jun - The Sporting Globe, Rockingham

A 1kg meat platter consisting of pork ribs, buffalo wings, shoe string chips and slaw. The ribs were falling off the bone, the wings were mostly just sour flavoring.

To finish, I tried the Golden Gaytime icecream sandwich. The cookies were too hard/thick to cut through so I ate the icecream and cookies individually. It was sickly by the end of it.

26 May - Grill and Chill, East Perth

An Indian birthday dinner out in East Perth. CB and I shared a number of dishes including tandoori chicken, chicken vindaloo and a veg dish.

19 May - Matilda Bay Restaurant, Crawley

Pork Belly entree, lamb rump main and shared chocolate dessert with CB.

The pork belly was rich and fatty, making it tasty.

The peas in the lamb rump had preserved lemons which was bit weird. The rump was pink in the centre but slightly chewy because it was pink.

The chocolate dessert was very rich, i was glad to share it. The passionfruit icecream and syrup was nice with chocolate cake.
