19 May - Matilda Bay Restaurant, Crawley

Pork Belly entree, lamb rump main and shared chocolate dessert with CB.

The pork belly was rich and fatty, making it tasty.

The peas in the lamb rump had preserved lemons which was bit weird. The rump was pink in the centre but slightly chewy because it was pink.

The chocolate dessert was very rich, i was glad to share it. The passionfruit icecream and syrup was nice with chocolate cake.

12 May - Cafe Bellavista, East Perth

I shared entree (focaccia) and dessert (tiramisu) with CB. My pizza main came without the mushrooms i was supposed to get so it ended up with mushrooms placed on the top.

The pizza was ok but as with these type of pizzas, was soggy in the centre, making it hard to eat with hands.

9 May - Gauchos, Adelaide

A spatchcock dish with sweet potato and mushroom sides. The skin was tasty and crisp but was a little small.

8 May - Australia's Pizza House, Adelaide

A pizza with the lot. It was decent, better than the regular fast food chains but overall nothing memorable.

8 May - Ajisen Ramen, Adelaide

A karaage bento box. The chicken skewer was probably more interesting than the karaage. The karaage were a little dry and there was no mayo to moisten.

7 May - BBQ City, Adelaide

Char siu and siew yuk rice for lunch and satay chicken with rice for dinner.

My lunch was typical although it had more char siu than siew yuk.

The satay wasn't that great. It had pineapple. Enough said.

4 May - Fair Trading Espresso, Adelaide

Smoked salmon, eggs and toast with a juice blend. A lot of salmon on the plate! I forget the name of the drink but it wasn't bad. I recall it not being overly sweet.

3 May - Largs Pier Hotel, Largs Bay

A salmon special and a side of onion rings.

3 May - Saracens Head Hotel, Adelaide

Another wash day so another caesar salad lunch. This time I did get the chicken.

2 May - Blumberg Bakery & Takeaway, Birdwood

A day trip to the Birdwood Motor Museum meant lunch at the local town bakery. I opted for the pepper steak pie, kransky sausage roll and a custard tart.

The pie had a good hit of pepper, the sausage roll was flaky and tasty. The custard tart was ok.

1 May - Sushi Train, Adelaide

A selection of sushi plates put into a takeaway container. Fridge cold sushi turns out to be quite firm but it was still tasty.

1 Mar - Pappa Rich, Adelaide

A milo dinosaur and wat tan hor with some shared chicken skins and fried wings.

The skins were crunchy but cold, kind of like pork rinds. The wings were freshly fried and piping hot.

The noodles had good smokiness although they were broken up a bit. Still went down a treat.

1 May - McDonald's, Hindley St

A stop to grab an iced coffee. I was asked if i wanted sugar syrup and i said one, the docket stated 'extra' so it was quite sweet.
