26 Apr - McDonald's, Joondalup

The McChamp is similar to a McChicken but also with sweet chilli sauce. It was OK but nothing special.

24 Apr - Oakover Wines, Middle Swan

This steak sandwich I had as part of mums birthday week was quite good. The Meat wasnt too tough, the onion jam and aioli was tasty and the bread had a good chew to it.

23 Apr - Grill'd, Leederville

Before going test driving some cars that afternoon, brunch was at Grill'd. Instead of the usual Wild West burger, I thought I'd try something else, such as the Summer Sunset. It consisted of grass fed lean beef, avocado, crispy trim bacon, golden pineapple, salad, relish & herbed mayo. And whilst it was good, I should have stuck to my usual.

20 Apr - KFC, Beechboro

After doing a little yard work at the old place, CB and I were ready for an early lunch. Using an entertainment book voucher, I tried the Mighty burger.

The patty was good being dark meat. My only criticism would be the BBQ sauce being way too sweet.

11 April - IKEA, Perth

Vegetarian pizza and fish and chips from the bistro at IKEA. Was OK for $7.50.

3 Apr - Gauchos, Adelaide

The calamari starter was very tasty. Tender marinated calamari, char grilled and served on some quinoa. A hint of chilli and spice made it enjoyable to eat.

I tried the slow roasted beef rib special, served with chimmichurri hollandaise. Whilst falling apart tender, this dish was very rich from the sauce and fat from the ribs. I only ate about half.

I also finished with an affogato. The espresso was strong and served with a coffee icecream. It finished everything off well.

3 Apr - Zuma Cafe, Adelaide

A chicken caesar salad brunch before sleeping in the afternoon. The salad wasn't bad, filled to the brim with bacon and tasty chicken.

2 Apr - Kingdom Chinese Restaurant, Adelaide

The Singapore chilli soft shell crab wasn't very authentic. It was murdering the tomato and sweet chilli sauces and the egg. The crab had decent bite though.

The chicken and vegetables were tender and tasty. I had one bowl of rice and didn't finish it as I ate a lot of goodies.

2 Apr - Ecco, Adelaide

A proper Bacon and egg sandwich. The only thing it needed was tomato sauce!

1 Apr - Jasmin, Adelaide

These beef samosas were full of flavor and flaky. I thought they were small but a regular sized samosa would've fallen apart with all the filling.

The lamb korma was a mild dish and was well enjoyed. The curry was a little salty after I ran out of rice.

31 Apr - Ba Guo Bu Yi , Adelaide

The san choy bao lettuce leaves weren't big enough to wrap around the seafood filling. It was quite tasty though.

I also had the beans with dried chilli and pork mince. The dish was quite dry and not as good as the south east Asian version which includes belecan. A heap of garlic though.
