Starbucks, Breeze Shopping Centre, Taipei, Taiwan
The morning started off with breakfast at Starbucks. Their food options in Taiwan are somewhat limited, so I ended up getting a club sandwich and a vanilla cafe latte.

Passing by a Maccas on the way to Maokong, I decided to grab a snack. That snack was a spicy chicken crispy burger, which was like a McSpicy, but not as hot or tasty.

After taking a cable car to the top, we walked around the mountain side looking at the scenery. We eventually stopped at one of the teahouses along the road for some snacks and tea.
Both the spring rolls and xiao long bao were average, but they filled the void whilst we drank tea.

The others hadn’t had lunch (only snacks above), so on the way back, they stopped at the Maccas that I had a snack at earlier. I decided to eat too, and had a 2 piece chicken set. The chicken was in between KFC original and hot and spicy.
Shilin Night Markets, Taipei, Taiwan
After going to Taipei 101, we decided to go to Shilin Night Markets for some food and wondering. The amount of people there was staggering, and the underground food area was smelly (from the stinky tofu) and busy. Up on the street level was a little better, and we eventually found some food that seemed worthy of eating.
A $50 TWD chicken chop. The unfortunate thing was that it still had bone in it. The coating wasn’t very tasty, it was quite bland. The Singaporean version (which originated from Korea) I think is tastier.
A pork and spring onion “cookie”, similar to yesterdays. But whilst yesterdays version cost $25 TWD for pork and onions, the Taipei version cost $45 TWD, and the pastry wasn’t as good.

Yeah, even if I ever went back to Taipei, I will never go back to the basement food area. Food there is not worth the stress!!!
