9:27PM - 22687 steps (16.334km) walked.
Ya Kun Kaya Toast - Bugis Junction
This morning, all of us except CB had kopi tiam down at a place at Bugis Junction. I ordered the Kaya toast set, which comprised of kaya toast (with kaya jam and butter), soft boiled eggs and condensed milk coffee for 4 over dollars. Arnee-ah and wagg reminisced in the soft boiled eggs which I had with soy sauce and pepper. I didn't mind them but didn't think too much of them. The kaya toast was sweet and buttery and was getting sickly sweet heading when getting towards the end. The coffee was strong and a little sweet and went down well.
Starbucks - City Hall
After having breakfast, we caught the train to City Hall and headed down to Starbucks. I had a tall espresso frappacino, and couldn't really tell the difference between espresso and coffee frappas.
After Starbucks, we walked around Raffles City and mucked around a bit, posing with some manikins in and around the stores. We then ventured down Citylink and headed towards Marina Square.
Nasi Lemak Stall - Marina Square Foodcourt
For lunch, I headed toward the Nasi Lemak stall and ordered a plate of Nasi Lemak for $4.90. This plate consisted off ikan bilis, fried fish, chicken, a fried egg, cucumber and coconut rice. The meal was nice, the sambal was hot, but I had a greasy feeling like after eating KFC. Wagg then brought out the pandan bread so I had a little bit of that.
Andersen's Icecream of Denmark - Suntec City
Whilst going through Suntec City, a few of us stopped for icecream. I went for macadamia nut, which wasn't the best macadamia nut I've had. Whilst rich and creamy, the icecream wasn't very nutty, where others in Australia have been.
At Carrefour, I bought some shirts, one for sleeping and three other t-shirts. Cost was $45. Arnee-ah bought some 3/4 pants and on checkout, it came up as ladies pants.
Dinner at Lau Pau Sat
Since we were sort of in the area, dinner was agreed to be Lau Pau Sat. Here, CB and I shared in three things: seafood horfun, BBQ stingray and kang kong. The kang kong and stingray were the right spiciness and great in flavour, the horfun wasn't that smokey. Add to that a can of soy bean, Qoo and durian ice kachang and I was uncomfortable on the way back to the hotel.
Bak Kwa from yesterday
Now I'm sitting in the hotel and typing in the blog, eating bak kwa, fish crackers and jackfruit chips. Yum!
