Kopitiam, Velocity Mall, Singapore

Breakfast started in the foodcourt in Velocity mall. I had the fishball macaroni, which was fishballs and fishcake, with lettuce and macaroni in soup. The broth was tasty enough, and the dish was light enough that I didn’t feel full after eating the whole bowl.

Season Live Seafood, Pulau Ubin, Singapore

A plate of “large” ong choy was ordered, this is what was presented. The flavour was quite good, not blazingly hot, but enough heat and saltiness from the belecan to make it tasty.

CB and I shared a plate of large seafood horfun. The noodles were cooked well, but not much wok hei once again. The gravy was nice although a little thin. My only gripe were the prawns that were precooked and then reheated in this dish, they turned out very rubbery.

Changi Ferry Terminal Vending Machine, Changi Village, Singapore

I wanted a drink after getting back from Pulau Ubin, and got a few coins off CB for a can of drink. I mistakenly hit the hot item instead of the cold item, this can came out of the machine HOT!

7-Eleven, Eunos MRT Station, Singapore

After scouting a kitchenware shop, I had to have a drink when we headed towards the nearest MRT station. At the 7-Eleven, I had a lime juice which was nice, although a little sweet.

McDonalds, Bugis Junction, Singapore

Whilst waiting for some others for a regrouping, I had a snack with a Choco cone. The icecream was nice and creamy and the right consistency.

Dinner tonight was at a streetside steamboat place with CK. Being Friday and Lent, one table was for meat eaters whilst the other was for seafood eaters. Being in charge of getting food, I picked all the edible seafood items that I could find, the only other things I wanted to try but always seemed to be empty were the salmon and crab trays. The soup was tom yam which was spicy but the only seafood option that we had.

Shokudo Japanese Coffee House, Bugis Junction, Singapore

Originally wanting Swensens and then TCC, we eventually settled for Shokudo as they were relatively quiet and had no waiting time. For dessert, I went for a banana and chocolate waffle. The waffle was crisp and slightly doughy in the centre, and was delicious, but filling, especially after the steamboat dinner.
