KFC, Velocity Mall, Singapore

Breakfast started off with some KFC porridge. I bought a set with tea, which came with ‘non dairy creamer’ instead of regular milk. The porridge was topped with pepper, fried shallots and spring onion. The porridge had good flavour, although there was quite a bit of pepper mixed in.

Bao stall, Velocity Mall, Singapore

I decided to try the big pork bao, costing $1.50 SGD. The bao dough was light and fluffy and the filling was sufficiently savoury. There was even a little bit of egg to make it more extravagant.

Old Town White Coffee, East Coast Parkway, Singapore

Lunch was at Old Town White Coffee. I had the BBQ chicken noodles, which was essentially a chicken char siu. Also included was a fried wonton soup which was a little weird. I didn’t feel hungry, but the amount of noodles that were on the plate were sufficient.

Family Reunion, Aloha Resort, Singapore

My cousin CK had organised a family get together at a chalet in Pasir Ris. A halal caterer was brought in to feed the people, however, the opportunity was also there to do some BBQ after the rain had subsided. So with a soggy BBQ pit, my cousin and I proceeded to BBQ chicken wings, satay, otah otah and stingray.

Some of the dishes were vegetarian and quite good. The chicken curry that I had was also good. However, the catering was way overdone and there are a heap of packaged leftovers currently in the fridge.

Typical Yuen meal. Always over-catered! ;)
