The day started off a bit later than usual as we didn't have anything planned until the afternoon, which was High Tea at the Raffles. We met up with CK at Marina Square at Starbucks. Here we snacked on Famous Amos cookies and I had a mocha frappa from memory (sorry, I forgot to take photos). Afterwards, we went up to the top floor to the bowling alley, where I bowled a 90 something and a 100 something .. not very well anyways.
Afterwards, we went across the hall to play some Pool. Here we played Kelly's Marbles, 9 ball and we also managed to fit a couple of rounds of 8 ball as well. After about 30 mins at the pinnies (the others went to shop a bit), we caught up again to go to Raffles.
Here, we took a few photos and then lined up to get our reserved table. We wanted close to the buffet like last time, however, the table we received was the most furtherest from the buffet. The only upside of it was it was a private room. We all ogled over how quiet it was in our own function room, with more space and better seating, but quickly discovered that the service from the waiters was not so lightning quick as the previous trip. This time around, my tea and water glasses were empty for awhile before being topped up. Also, I believe the selection is slightly smaller. All in all, the food was pretty nice, the sandwiches we were given (to help offset the queues to the buffet) were very filling, so I could only manage another plate and then only a little bit of fruit.
Afterwards, we freshened up a bit back at the hotel and went to CK's place. Here I fixed a few things for CK on his laptop, had a few snacks and mingled around. Bobby was friendly and probably remembered us from last time. After a few hours here, we finally left at about 10ish for some supper.
Walking into Toa Payoh Central, there were only a few fast food places open. Since McDs and Burger King were available back home, we decided to hit MOS Burger. Here I had a teriyaki chicken burger meal, which came with fries and a drink. Ants wanted a MOS Burger, but they didn't have tomato, and they wouldn't substitute anything in place, so he didn't have anything.
