11:27 - What a Stinker....
What a stinking hot day today was. I'm not sure if it was due to the temperature, the humidity or my shirt (it was bought from Singapore from last time but it's mostly synthetic I think). Anyway, it started off with breakfast as usual. I was first to arrive and found a table for all of us to sit at. Breakfast consisted of:
Round 1: Fish Porridge

Round 2: Plain omlette, bacon, hash brown and chicken sausage

Round 3: Honeydew and watermelon.
The porridge and honeydew was good. The watermelon was a bit bland this time. The omlette was good, the bacon, hash brown and chicken sausage were a bit ordinary.

After breakfast, we went on the City Bus Tour. This tour consisted of Merlion Park, a Buddhist Temple, Orchid Garden at the Botanical Gardens and Little India. The Buddhist Temple was amazing, the artwork in the temple in itself is extraordinary, espcially since it was built over a 100 years ago. We left the tour at Little India as it was close to the hotel we were staying in. We decided to eat nearby the hotel and found a Chicken Rice hawker. The meal was $3.50 + $1.50 for a soya bean drink.
The chicken was tasty and mostly tender. The rice was good. The broth was very tasty, with peanuts on the bottom of the bowl. For $3.50, you can't really go wrong with this set. The chilli was also delicious.

After lunch, we decided to part ways for the afternoon. Ag, Gary and I (and initially Ants) wanted to find the nearest Maccas (just to know, and to also grab a small bite). Ants piked relatively early, and after walking a complete U shape, the three of us finally made it. I had a double cheeseburger, Ag had a cone and Gary had a strawberry sundae and lemon tea.

We then went to Cold Storage (supermarket), where I bought some honey peanuts and a can of Milo. We then made our way back to the hotel. Since we knew where we were sort of going, the trip back only took 10 or so minutes. When we got back, we decided to head to our own rooms to relax, however when I got to my room, it was being made. I kept Agnes company (along with Ants and Carley half way through), until the designated meeting time of 5:30 came near.

After we all met up, we headed towards Toa Payoh for dinner. Ag and Gary went Won Ton noodles, Claire, Carley and I went for Japanese. I decided to go the Tori Kaarage set, with a side of tempura and some gyzola. To be honest, I prefer the Kaarage from Jaws in Perth, but this was still nice nonetheless. The tempura and dumplings were okay. The miso and salad however, was absolutely beautiful... the salad was pretty much a chunky coleslaw and the miso was the tastiest dishwater I've had in awhile.

After dinner, Gary bought his share of Famous Amos cookies. I had a couple. We then split up for another couple of hours. Gary and I hit a games shop where he bought FF4 for his GBA. Afterwards, we had a look in Courts, where we played Project Gotham Racing 3 on XBOX 360. Seeing that the salespeople did not try and bother us, we decided to try and find some massage chairs, but were unsuccessful.

Afterwards, we hit the pinnies up in Toa Payoh. Games played included Daytona (of course), House of the Dead III and the Basketball hoops game. It was near the designated meet up again in Swensens so we decided to make a move.

Having not tried a Coit Tower, I decided to order one. The verdict? Nice, but all that Ag hypes it up to be. I'll definitely order something else if/when we go back.

After Swensens, we headed back towards the hotel and had some goodies that Ag had bought from the markets and Fairprice. This included some jackfruit, sugar bread and coloured bread.
