The morning started off with breakfast. It consisted of:
Round 1: Bacon and an omlette.
Round 2: Roti prata with vegetable curry.
Round 3: Fruits.
After breakfast, Chee Kiong met up with us to go to Haw Par Villa. It was hot but interesting with the displays of the 10 Courts of Hell. Claire took a picture of my back, which shows how sweaty and hot I was. After this, we went to Vivo City to grab some lunch (this was the closest shopping mall).
There were two food courts here, one was "normal", the other was halal. Since the halal food court had an abundance of tables, we decided to eat there. Here I picked up some Japanese, a teriyaki chicken set, with a side of tori karraage. The teriyaki was nice, the karraage was ok, the salad was ok (dressing would of made it better).
I wasn't quite satisfied after lunch so I went to an 'Old Chang Kee' and bought a spring roll for $0.90. It was crisp and fresh and hit the spot.
Afterwards, we went to Bugis Street. We stopped off at Starbucks. I had a vanilla frappa, which was good, but was not a whole lot different from a McD's.
Afterwards, we hit the street market. Here I bought 4 tshirts from the shop I previously had bought shirts from. Afterwards, the boys went to Sim Lim mall. It was now when it started to bucket down. I bought a laptop HDD, a 120gb Samsung for $138 AUD. The same model I could buy from the wholesaler back in Perth for $170 odd.
We then made our way back to the hotel (walked from Bugis to Little India). Chee Kiong said it would be a 20 minute walk and this time he was correct. However, the rain started to come down again and we all got wet walking back to the hotel. After freshening up for a bit (and doing laundry), we headed off to the Night Safari.
We headed to Yishun (on Chee Kiong's advice) but found out that we could not get a bus direct to the Zoo. After quickly eating (a McD's McSpicy meal, along with some shared McWings) we taxied it to the Zoo.
We stayed at the Zoo for a bit and took some photos at the suspension bridge. We then caught the last train to Toa Payoh (it was terminating there) and then caught the 139 bus to Little India. We went past McD's in Little India but it was shut. We initially thought it was open 24 hours but a little term and condition stipulated Friday, Saturday and Sunday early. We eventually got back to the hotel at about 12:30AM.
