Old Chang Kee & Starbucks, United Square

This morning started off with fried delights and coffee. I had a Curry-O and spring roll, along with a grande vanilla latte.

We then headed towards Chinatown. I bought some laundry spiders, sparkguns (for the stove top), hooks for the pergola and chinese style soup spoons. After going down Pagoda Street, we headed to Chinatown Point for lunch, however, all the tables were taken.

Instead of stopping for lunch, I had a $2 cheeseburger on the run. It was good, but I always would like a bit more onion in my burgers.

After Chinatown, we headed back to Citylink for our second choice for lunch, Sakae Sushi.

Sakae Sushi, Citylink Mall

We were able to be seated straight away and as soon as I sat down, I started pulling a couple of plates from the conveyor. I had:

Unagi sushi. Sweet and tender, and only $2.29++ SGD! (unlike Jaws, rip off merchants...)

12112009111
Egg and "crab" roll wrapped in nori.

12112009112
Gyoza.

12112009113
Tuna and cucumber with a sesame seed topping. These weren't bad.

12112009114
Tori karaage. These were OK, but were a bit dry. They needed some mayo like they do in Jaws.

12112009116
Tempura icecream. I had this to myself this time as CB was too full. Mmmmmm.

After lunch, we headed to Funan and went up level by level. Arnee-ah bought some games and an extra controller for PS3.

Carls Jnr, Marina Square

Carley-ah saw the flyer to this place which was promoting a "Portabello Thick Mushroom Burger".

This burger was BIG! But it was tasty. All up, a regular meal was just under $15 SGD. The mushrooms were salty, but it complemented the rest of the burger, which consisted of Angus beef, lettuce, tomato and onion.

Marks and Spencer Mixed Vegetable Crisps

12112009119

Whilst shopping at Paragon Mall yesterday, I bought chips from Marks and Spencer. One was 100g of vegetable crisps (parsnip, sweet potato and beetroot), and the other were 120g of Red Duke of York crisps. Both totalled to $15.

We tried the vegetable crisps tonight. They were OK, but not worth the money.
